Cub Sleepover Feb 16

  |   By

Happy Birthday to us…

So our Cubs 100 adventures started off with a Sleepover with 22 of our Cubs in our newly found Cub room! What a great night our Cubs had…the room had been planned for years, and was completed JUST in time for the start of our centenary adventures! (See Facebook page for photos)

A huge thanks to all the leaders who made the room happen!

After the fun Friday unveiling of the room we hit the road (well rails!) to the Glasgow Science Centre, where our Cubs had a ball, don’t forget the gift shop! On the route home our 8 new Cubs were invested into the group (well done Cubs). A great day was had by all – a fantastic start to the celebrations, what’s up next…?

See you all Tuesday!

Haarlem Jamborette

  |   By

For ten days from the 25th July, 8 Explorers from 2nd Coatbridge descending on Amsterdam for the 2015 Haarlem Jamborette.

Throughout the week our young people were able to participate in so many activities, meet new people, and also be part of a fantastic international camp.

Our young people endured a 26 mile hike, due to the fact they missed the 13 mile hike bus, took part in water sports as well as excursions to local places.

It was a fantastic experience and one we hope to repeat in 2019!

Sausage Sizzle

It was the final night at Cubs before our summer break!

We took a trip to Coltswood where the young people were able to explore the outdoors, cook over a fire and eat s’mores.

There is a link to photos at the end of this post.

We hope you all have a great and safe break and we will see you at the fun day on Saturday, 27th June. If we don’t see you then we will see you in August!

Millport 2015

  |   By

Another Cubs on Tour at the weekend just past. This time we hit Millport.

The Cubs visited the top of the island, took part in our very own It’s a Knockout and a trip on the ship (i.e. The ferry).

The young people thoroughly enjoyed themselves through and even managed to catch a tan!

Cubs Sleepover

   |   By

Cubs weren’t quite on tour this weekend, however we still had a sleepover.

It was a great night for everyone. We had some children who were attending as their first night away. Over the two days, the Cubs achieved their Artist badge by redesigning our photograph display on our Cub wall, making Chinese New Year dragons and also making their own spring rolls (which they all loved).

We hope they all had a wonderful time. Now to catch up on Eastenders and sleep.

Ps. Bring a friend night Tuesday. Cubs bring all your pals!
